President's Message

Carole Dann

President

Executive Committee

Our first General Meeting was a great success at the Flintrock Falls Country Club. We had nearly 200 women in attendance and 160 stayed for the luncheon… close to a record. The speaker, Beth Rand of the Restoration Ranch, was wonderful and the food was enjoyed by all. We are already working on some fine tuning for the November meeting. Congratulations to our Hospitality chairs, Pam Filas and Kim Majkszak, who worked all summer to make certain that our transition to this new venue went smoothly. Thanks also to the Flintrock Property Owner’s Karen John, a Women’s Club member, for her cooperation with the entry gate procedures.

The kick-off event, Boots and Bandana’s, was Sunday, October 6th. It was a great success. All who attended had a great time. The venue, food, band, and decorations were amazing. Congratulations to Judy Baer and Dianne Haeg for all their planning.

The Puttin’ On The Ritz fall fashion show at the Sonesta Hotel Ballroom on October 28th and our biggest event of the year, sold out quickly to 250 Women’s Club members. We will report on it in the December newsletter.

We have so many enthusiastic new members this year, over 44 since June as of this writing. They are actively attending meetings and events together. Let’s all welcome them when we get a chance.

General Meetings are held the 4th Monday of the month, September-April and the 3rd Monday in May. We do not meet in December. Social time is 9:30 a.m. with the meeting at 10 a.m., followed by a speaker. An optional luncheon follows immediately thereafter. Thanksgiving is upon us. I hope that each of you is able to share this special Holiday with family and friends.

We will not have an October speaker due to our Fashion Show and luncheon on October 28th.

Please join us at the November General Meeting, when our speaker will be County Commissioner, Gerald Daugherty. He will discuss community and traffic issues.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer!
